Blogger meet at Copper Cafe Nottingham

Yesterday a small group of bloggers from the East midlands got together at the Copper Cafe in Nottingham. Located just opposite the Theatre Royal Concert hall it is easy to find and looks inviting from the outside, the grand looking building has huge columns making a statement on the from of the building giving it a historical, architectural feel. The building is so inviting and unique with its appearance that it is one I could see myself visiting just based on its beautiful exterior.

The meet up was hosted by the lovely Sophie over at Sophie in wonderland xo, and it was truly amazing the hard work that was put in and Sophie was kind enough with the help of two brands; Paper chic co and Cloud 9 wax melts, a lovely raffle prize was donated including wax melts, a weekly blog planner and some cute stationary that will make the perfect blogging tools. Ellie over at Ellie creation was lucky enough to win the goodies which I think is lovely. I am hooked on the things both shops sell and I think I will have to make an order on both at some point over the next week!
Myself and Ellie went along to the event together and were a little bit early so we sat in the main area of the cafe and had a latte while having a catch up waiting for everyone to arrive. It was so lovely to have a relaxed atmosphere in the cafe where you can talk at ease and enjoy each others company and the coffee was lovely. The downstairs area of the cafe is so beautifully decorated and one I can see myself going to when I am in Nottingham and just want a chilled cup of coffee with a friend and a chat.

We were escorted to the private hire room upstairs by the manager. The stair case leading up to the room was an elegant spiral staircase that felt like the it came right out a fairy tale and made me feel like I was heading to a grand ball as I walked back down the stairs to leave. The manager had beautifully decorated the rails of the stairs with twinkling fairy lights giving the stairway a lovely atmosphere. We were led up to a beautiful open and airy room that had wooden tables, beautifully decorated with copper accents, without being cluttered.

The upstairs bar area has a clean light tiled curved wall giving the room character, while the shelf of spirits behind the bar gives a nod to the cocktail and drink options you can order, with the menus detailing a full list of what is on offer. I love the metal hanging shelf above the bar with plants and leaves hanging from it, encasing three large bottles of Grey Goose vodka giving it an added element of the bar, with the wine and champagne flute hanging below the bottles.

Although I opted not to have a cocktail some of the other bloggers decided to have them. Let me tell you, I wish I had, they had a great array of flavours to choose from and options, and the ones that were brought to the table were all so well presented and sounded delicious. We all had food, I opted for some fries as I wasn't super hungry, but they were really nice. They had some sort of chip spice like flavouring to them and I really enjoyed them compared to plain chips and they are one I would definitely recommend, even as a side if you are eating here. Everything that was ordered from the menu looked delicious, the sandwiches, sides and drinks included were all so nice looking I could have tried one of everything as it all looked so appealing. I will be back for a sandwich soon as I am still thinking about them now!

The room was the perfect setting for the get together, although the meet up ended up being a smaller group than we anticipated, it was lovely to see everyone and was a great atmosphere to chat and catch up. I love getting to hang out with other bloggers who are local and from the East Midlands, its so nice to come together, meet some new people, or just see people you chat with online regularly in person. I am so grateful to Copper cafe for allowing us to use he venue for the event, and again to the lovely Sophie who took over organising the meet up to allow it to happen. I can't wait to meet up with everyone again soon!
